Born in Staten Island in 2005 and raised in Charlotte, Christian "Yung Lion" Low Hoy discovered his passion for music early on, performing reggae songs for his family and practicing various instruments. His defining moment came at age 10 when he performed alongside renowned artists on a cruise. The loss of his cousin Josh, a key motivator in his musical journey, deeply influenced him and fueled his career, leading to his heartfelt song, "Violate."
Launching his career in 2019, Yung Lion blends dancehall with '90s reggae and R&B, drawing inspiration from his Caribbean roots and the legendary Marley family, who have significantly influenced his style and messaging. His lyrics—ranging from themes of peace and love to critiques of global corruption—reflect his versatility as an artist.
Now 19, Yung Lion's career is gaining traction with successful singles like "Tom Sport" and performances with notable artists across various cities. With a growing repertoire and plans for upcoming releases, he's a young talent on the rise, promising an impactful, long-lasting career in music.
